Pioneering Personalized Neuroscience

Characterizing individual brain differences to advance personalized diagnosis, treatment, and sustainable healthcare

IndiBrain

Characterizing Individual Differences in Brain Plasticity and Dynamics to help ensure Effective and Sustainable Health Care and Rehabilitation

Understanding how every brain is unique is one of the greatest challenges in neuroscience. IndiBrain, a new European doctoral training network, brings together universities and industry partners across Europe to train the next generation of leaders in computational neuroscience.

Fifteen doctoral candidates will explore how individual differences shape brain plasticity and behaviour. Through cutting-edge neuroimaging, computational modelling, and neurotechnology, our network will drive breakthroughs in understanding the human brain and pave the way for personalized diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation in neurological and ocular disorders.

Our network

Our mission

To train the next generation of computational neuroscientists and pioneer breakthrough methods for understanding individual differences in brain plasticity and dynamics — advancing personalised diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for neurological and visual disorders.

Our projects

Doctoral Candidates can work on 15 project available in academia, at medical institutes and high-tech companies in the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, and Norway.

Our training

We offer our Doctoral Candidates a 3-years multidisciplinary PhD training consisting of several secondments and high-level training courses and workshops throughout Europe.

Our consortium

A consortium of 12 universities and 11 industry and training partners across Europe, combining expertise in neuroscience, brain imaging, computational modelling, vision science, and neurotechnology to train future leaders in personalised brain research.
